Our customer projects are completed using CAT tools (Computer Aided Translation, such as Trados, memoQ, etc.)

All documentation contains text modules (e.g. paragraphs, internal standard sentences, etc.) that are identical or are similar to text modules from previous versions or other products from the same family. The text modules (segments) are translated once and saved in a translation memory and are then automatically available to the translator for each new translation process.

    This ensures, for example, uniform translations in all your instructions for use, labelling, product monographs, flyers, etc. and this consistency is assured across all your projects from regulatory documentation to marketing material.


Excluding translation variations and incorrect translations assures an increase in the quality. Because previously translated material can be used repeatedly, time and translation efforts are saved, which in turn drastically reduces costs.

Terminology databases ensure that any terminology or corporate wording as well as the specialist terminology specified by the authorities can be consistently integrated into the language process and is uniformly used across all translations.

Maintaining and managing terminology is a complex process because sector-specific technical terms and precise corporate wording have become an essential component of successful international business operations and play a critical role even in the authoring process.

During the translation process, the CAT tool recognises the individual terms from the terminology database and the translator is required to use the suggested word.

Optimal terminology management contributes generally to improved intelligibility and acceptance among global target groups as well as the authorities and benefits all those involved in the process through language consistency.

Tool-supported quality checks shorten the processing time and increase the translation quality. We have programmed individual software tools and developed in-house checking and validation tools that enable us to carry out tailored processes at high speed and with a low error rate to supplement standard products.

Our specialisation in the formulation of quality check rules and the development of processes that are based on almost 40 years’ experience mean that our quality assurance is unique within the sector.


MACHINE TRANSLATION - Where it makes sense


Machine translation (MT) is constantly being refined and is opening up more and more opportunities to automate processes and projects. However, for professional and subject-specific requirements, it can still only be used for certain types of projects at the moment.

Machine translation cannot yet deliver the same level of quality as translation by a specialist translator. If, however, your focus is cost savings, speed and large volumes, the use of MT may make sense.

If the translation is only required for internal information or internal decisions, we can offer MT with post-editing by a specialist translator. If higher quality is required, however, MT with post-editing and subsequent revision by a language or subject expert can be used.

We always keep an eye on developments in the area of machine translation to ensure that the best current solutions are available for you. If required, we can always provide you with expert advice and offer you machine translations trained for your company and your projects where appropriate.

    Directly incorporating your national subsidiaries into the review process for translations, for example, is fast and easy with our mpü feedback loop.

    The loop ensures that approval processes are efficiently managed while also ensuring that any existing databases are incorporated. This means that approved terminology and existing translations are also available during the review process and that inappropriate corrections and the inadvertent inclusion of inconsistencies are prevented.

    The approval of terminology, for example, or existing multilingual material can also be managed with the support of such systems – and of course, all authorisations and options for changes and comments are defined and specified beforehand.

You can export detailed analyses of previous projects and quickly and easily prepare offers/jobs. You directly specify exactly which services you require, with no time loss and with no volume restrictions for data transmission. Of course, this access is encrypted, which is not a standard feature offered with email.

Are your data or documents stored in a content or document management system such as Documentum, SharePoint, Typo3, OneDrive or GoogleDrive? These enable workflows to be defined and actions to be carried out as required. With our expertise in this area, the translation of your text is automatically integrated into your data lifecycle. We can connect to most major systems which enables direct integration into your workflows.
